Court Orders Government and Police to Compensate Activists RM195,000 for Unlawful Detention
A Malaysian court has ordered the government and police to pay RM195,000 in damages to 13 activists who were unlawfully arrested during a candlelight vigil commemorating Covid-19 deaths at Dataran Merdeka on August 19, 2021.
