Malaysia to Repeal AUKU, Expand Student Democratic Freedoms
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced the government will repeal the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 to expand democratic freedoms for Malaysian university students following sustained calls from student leaders.
