FIDE President Dvorkovich Steps Aside Over EU Sanctions Linked to Ukraine Invasion
Arkady Dvorkovich, Russian head of the International Chess Federation, has suspended his duties after being sanctioned by the European Union over the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Indian chess legend Viswanathan Anand will serve as interim president.
